FLAME-RETARDANT POROUS SHEETS, MOLDINGS THEREOF, AND FLAME-RETARDANT ACOUSTICAL ABSORBENTS FOR AUTOMOBILES

The invention aims at providing fibrous sheets and foamed synthetic resin sheets which are rich in flame retardance, moldings thereof, and flame-retardant acoustical absorbents for automobiles made by using the moldings, and provides flame-retardant porous sheets (such as flame-retardant fibrous sheets and flame-retardant foamed synthetic resin sheets) which bear flame retardant capsules adhering to the fibers or the foamed synthetic resins. When the flame retardant capsules are exposed to high temperature, the synthetic resin films of the capsules are broken and the flame retardant is thereby exposed to impart self-extinguishing properties to the fibrous sheet or the foamed synthetic resin sheet. Moldings of the flame-retardant porous sheets exhibit high flame retardance and retain the air permeability inherent in the fibrous sheets or the foamed synthetic resin sheets, thus being useful as flame-retardant acoustical absorbents for automobiles or buildings. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
