An x-ray photographing apparatus is provided to minimize an amount of radiation of a radiation engineer by automatically moving an x-ray generation unit and a photographing plate to various positions. A stand(12) is vertically installed and has a guide rail(10) along a length direction. An up/down transfer block(16) is coupled to be moved to the guide rail(10) by a first lift motor(14) installed on the stand(12). A rail arm(22) is rotatably installed on the up/down transfer block(16) by a first rotation motor(18) installed on the up/down transfer block(16). A supporting arm(24) is extended to a side of the rail arm(22). An x-ray generation unit(30) is lifted up/down along the guide rail(20) of the rail arm(22) by a second lift motor(28) installed on the rail arm(22) of an arm block(26). An illumination angle adjustment unit(66) is installed on an x-ray illumination unit of the x-ray generation unit(30). A detector(34) is rotatably installed on an end of the supporting arm(24) by a second rotation motor(32) installed on the supporting arm(24), and detects the x-ray illuminated from the x-ray generation unit(30). A high voltage generation unit is connected to the x-ray generation unit(30) and applies a high voltage to the x-ray generation unit(30) to generate the x-ray. A control unit is connected to each motor(14,18,28,32) and the illumination angle adjustment unit(66), and controls the operation of each motor(14,18,28,32) and the illumination angle adjustment unit(66). A main processor receives and processes the image signal detected from the detector(34). A display unit displays the image signal received in the main processor.
