A control method in a viewing limit mode of a complex image device is provided to stop the reproduction for a corresponding time when the viewing limit mode is executed in reproducing a DVD(Digital Video Disc), to execute a screen saver, to and automatically perform the reproduction from a stop time when the viewing limit mode is released. If a DVD reproduction operation is performed in a complex image device(S300), a control unit judges whether a viewing limit setup key is pressed(S302). If the viewing limit setup key is pressed, the control unit drives a camera module(S304). The control unit judges whether the motion of an object is sensed in a front surface of the complex image device(S306). If the motion of the object is sensed, the control unit stops the DVD reproduction operation and executes a screen saver mode(S308,S310). If the sensing of the operation is released through the camera module(S312), the control unit releases the screen saver mode and performs the reproduction from a DVD stop time again(S314,S316).
