A data repetitive reproduction method in an optical disk reproducing system is provided to be capable of repeatedly reproducing data according to a condition of performing a section repetition function of previous or next caption image, thus a user's ability for language study is improved. In a reproducing mode of an optical disk reproducing system, a control block checks whether a section repetition function select operation signal exists(202,204). If so, the control block displays a menu screen for inputting a performance condition of a section repetition function(206). A user inputs the performance condition of the section repetition function(208). The control block detects a start point and an end point of a reproduced caption image(210), and repeatedly reproduces data(212).
