An alarming method using RRT/GPS(Rating Region Table/Global Positioning System) information in a satellite broadcasting receiver based on ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee) standard is provided to allow a user to easily know alarm information set by the user by alarming a specific time, such as a worship time, while the user is watching a TV by using the RRT information and the GPS information and displaying a specific direction, which is a worship object, together with position information of the user by using the RRT information. A control unit displays a TV broadcasting program tuned by a user on a TV receiver connected to a satellite broadcasting receiver(S200). The control unit checks whether a worship time in which an alarm is set by the user arrives by using GPS information(S202). When the worship time arrives, the control unit alarms the worship time on a TV broadcasting screen, and displays a specific direction, which is a worship object, and the position of the user(S204). The control unit records TV broadcasting program data during a time, which is set as the worship time, through a time shift function(S206~S214). When the worship time is ended(S216), the control unit automatically converts a current channel into the previous TV channel, and displays a TV broadcasting program of the corresponding channel(S218,S220).
