A slide type engine cover is provided to reduce development costs by permitting the engine cover to be applied to both a full engine cover type vehicle and a semi engine cover type vehicle. A slide type engine cover comprises a base engine cover(10) and a slide engine cover(20). The base engine cover has a two-point type first mounting louver(11) and a slide hole(12) of a predetermined length. The slide engine cover has a two-point type second mounting louver(21), and is coupled to the base engine cover such that the slide engine cover is slidable. A two-point type third mounting louver(13) is formed at one side of the slide hole. The second mounting louver is coupled to the other side of the slide hole such that the slide engine cover is prevented from escaping from the base engine cover.
