摘要 An apparatus and a method for controlling a phase of a neon-sign switch are provided to reduce an impulse current when an electronic transformer is used by performing on/off of a switch at a zero volt phase. An apparatus for controlling a phase of a neon-sign switch includes a timer, an address decoder, a ROM, a triac, and a switch phase control circuit. The switch phase control circuit is installed between the timer and the address decoder. The switch phase control circuit controls the address decoder to be changed at a phase having a minimum current value. The switch phase control circuit controls the ROM and the triac to be switched on/off. The phase control circuit has a D flip-flop element connected to the timer, a CK clock pulse input terminal, and a Q output terminal. The CK clock pulse input terminal includes a transformer, a diode, and an amplifying transistor which are connected sequentially. One of a resistor for a voltage sag or a zener-diode is additionally installed between the amplifying transistor and the diode connected to the CK clock pulse input terminal.
