BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to form diffusion elements at upper parts of lamps for removing Becke's lines and improving display quality. A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, lamps(300) and a reflection plate. The lamps are disposed in the receiving container in parallel to each other and have diffusion elements(310) such as glass powder coated on surfaces thereof for diffusing light projected from the lamps. The reflection plate is mounted at lower parts of the lamps for reflecting light projected from the lamps.
