A display device is provided to enhance brightness of a display panel by additionally including a white sub-pixel as well as red, green, and blue sub-pixels. A display device includes scan signal lines and data signal lines, pixels(105), a scan signal driving circuit, and a data signal driving circuit(101). The scan signal lines cross the data signal lines. The pixels are arranged on the intersection between the scan and data signal lines and each includes white, red, green, and blue sub-pixels arranged in a 2 by 2 matrix form. The sub-pixels represent respective colors in response to a data signal from the data signal line. The scan signal driving circuit includes plural stages, which supply scan signals to the scan signal lines. The data signal driving circuit supplies the data signal to the data signal lines. The scan signal driving circuit is formed on the same substrate as the pixels, the scan signal lines, and the data signal lines.
