INK COMPOSITION, INK CARTRIDGE, AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME

Provided are an ink composition which is minimized in bleeding and improves the quality of image, an ink cartridge containing the composition, and an ink-jet recording apparatus using the ink cartridge. The ink composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a colorant; 280 parts by weight of or less of a cyclic amide compound; 250 parts by weight of or less of a cyclic dicarbonyl compound; and water. Preferably the ratio of cyclic amide compound and the cyclic dicarbonyl compound is 1:20 to 20:1 by weight. Preferably the cyclic amide compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein X is H or a C1-C10 alkyl group; and a is an integer of 1-5. Preferably the cyclic dicarbonyl compound is represented by the formula 2, wherein Y is -O-, -N(R)- or -(CH2)c-; R is H, OH, a C1-C10 alkyl group or a C1-C10 hydroxyalkyl group; b is an integer of 1-9; and c is an integer of 1-5.
