<p>A device (10) for coating surfaces (30) with granular material (G) to form a structured surface of variable thickness, comprises filler pipe(s) (12) for (G), a cover form (16) connected to the pipe(s) (12) and defining a 3-dimensional coating space (40) between (16) and (30) corresponding to the structured form of the required granulate application (with a flow connection between (12) and (40)), and a device (22, 24, 26) for producing a rotating turbulent flow in the pipe (12). Independent claims are included for (1) a heated press with a device (10) as described above (2) a method for sprinkling granular material (G) on surfaces in a structured manner, by (a) charging (G) into a filler pipe connected to a cover form with the contour of the required coating, (b) subjecting (G) to rotating turbulent flow in the pipe so that the granules are sucked in by the resulting reduced pressure and (c) distributing (G) between the form and the surface by means of the turbulent flow .</p> |
