A method for manufacturing an eco-friendly gabion and constructing an embankment is provided to cut down on installation expenses by constructing the whole embankment using gabions filled with soil and gravel and to have economical effect by developing and restoring natural environment. Methods for manufacturing an eco-friendly gabion and constructing an embankment comprises the steps of: manufacturing a gabion to the height(1-A) of 30~60 cm, the length(1-B) of 1~16 m and the width(1-C) of 1~2 m by manufacturing a lower mesh(1-1), an upper mesh(1-7), a front cover mesh(1-2) and a rear cover mesh(1-3) and many partition meshes(1-6), carrying in a construction site and spreading on a slope of a leveled embankment, and then assembling in the U-shape; inserting 1~2 m of the pre-manufactured geosynthetics such as non-woven fabrics in many rectangular spaces(1-8) which are formed in the length of the gabion to keep in the rectangular shape; inserting soil or gravel into the spaces of the gabion, compacting and leveling using heavy equipment; spreading greening materials, a rice straw mat and a green net on the leveled slope of the embankment; and putting the top mesh bound with the bottom mesh. |
