<p>The template has a metal peg corresponding with the center of the switchbox. By application of pressure, this penetrates the plasterboard, forming a starting point for the drill. After cutting out the plasterboard, the hole corresponds with the opening for the switch socket. The template is made of metal. It is about 9 cm long, 3 cm wide and 3 mm thick. Its central peg is about 1 cm in length. A steel spring is attached centrally to the underside of the plate. This has small studs at each end. The spring is pressed into the switchbox; on release the studs press against the switchbox. The template includes magnetic cylinders. When required, they can be placed on the metal rod. They are about 1.3 cm or 2.6 cm long, with a diameter of about 0.6 cm and include a stamp. The cylinders are used with certain materials on which the indentation point is not visible, or the plasterboard panels are fixed to a framework. In this case, marking is effected by the inked stamp.</p> |
