A mobile device having a touch screen panel in a protecting case and a method using the same are provided to display menu items with a reduced size on a touch screen panel without omitting any menu items due to the limitation of screen size. A main body(200) includes a control button(220) and a display panel(210) for displaying certain menu items. A protecting case(300) is combined with the main body(200) and includes a touch screen panel(310) that displays a screen image of the display panel(210) and menu items displayed on the screen, after being scaled down.
