Methods and systems using Pade' Approximant expansion ratios to provide mappings between nonlinear sensors and a more linearized output domain including, a variable gain amplifier (121) receives a supplied input signal (x); a first summer (122), coupled to the output terminal (112) of the amplifier (121), adds in a first offset signal; a first multiplier (125), coupled to an output of the first summer (122), receives a proportional feedback factor signal and correspondingly generates a multiplied feedback; a second summer (126), coupled to an output terminal of the first multiplier (125), adds in a corresponding second offset signal; and a second multiplier (127), coupled to an output of the second summer (126), receives a gain factor signal and generates a multiplied gain signal; where the gain control terminal (118) of the variable gain amplifier (121) is operatively coupled to an output terminal of the second multiplier (127).
