The device is for the expulsion of fluid, particularly for a high pressure cleaning apparatus, and has a nozzle head with an inlet at one axial end and at least one fluid outlet at the other end. In an outer housing (51) is an insert which incorporates an inner housing (53) closed at the front end by a cover (61), in front of which is a function component (39). In front of the insert is a control component (41), coupled by burl-type projections (43) with a multi-part positioning casing (49), which non-rotatably surrounds the outer housing. The assembly group is held together in an axial direction within the outer housing by a retainer (63) scerwed into the front end of the housing. By means of a pressure spring (57) behind the outer housing the insert is pressed against the control component by the retainer.
