The invention relates to a roller blind. The inventive blind comprises a group (A) consisting of a case (1) for the shaft (4) of the blind, bearings (5) and slats (6) and a coupling (7) which is engaged with a coupling (15) belonging to an upper group (B) comprising a case (9) for the shaft of the upper reel (10), bearings (11, 12) and the upper reel (13), the cord (14) being independent of unit A. The invention also includes a lower group (C) comprising a case (25) for the lower reel (26) and a cord-braking device (27), which is joined with the upper group (B) to form a single element. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, groups B and C are solidly connected, such as to form a working assembly in which the length of the cord has already been adjusted. The blind is actuated using a lever which rotates the lower reel (26) of group C by means of a gear wheel, such as to transmit the force to the upper reel of group B by means of a cable which is unwound from one reel in order to be wound around the other. In this way, the slats are raised and lowered depending on the direction in which the lever is rotated.
