The cleaner (1) has a floor section (8) by which dust is drawn in by the suction created by an electric motor and fan in a housing (2) in the body (3) of the appliance having an opening by which the motor is provided with cooling air and which is closed by means of a leaf spring at low suction pressure caused by a full filter bag.
