DIGITAL TELEVISION RECEIVER AND SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD THEREOF

A digital television receiver and the signal transmission method thereof are provided, in which the transmission data stream is firstly channel decoded by a channel module and translated into a transmission stream, then the transmission stream is transmitted to a main machine via interfaces and descrambled by a card module. Finally, the descrambled stream is source decoded by the main machine. The channel module, the card module and the main machine are mutually separated. This invention can reduce the cost effectively, can facilitate volume production; and is of great advantages to develop hierarchical new products, and to establish product lines for multifold digital television produces. Further, in the invention, a user can make his selection more flexibly according to his requirement, without having to purchase several set-top boxes, to change the set-top box for different service providers, and to operate several remote controllers; thus the invention is very convenient for the user.
