A receiver drier tank and a method for machining the receiver drier tank are provided to prevent leakage of a refrigerant filled in the interior of a pipe without covering a cap. A method for machining a receiver drier tank includes the steps of: making a pipe by high frequency induction heating welding; forming a boss step on the inner surface of an end of the made pipe; tapping the inner surface of the pipe in which the boss step is formed; swaging the other side of the pipe; and brazing and closing a closed medium material at the swaged portion of the pipe. A clad wire is brazed to a swaged portion of the pipe. A clad paste is brazed to the swaged portion of the pipe. A rivet is brazed to the swaged portion of the pipe. A receiver drier tank includes a pipe made by high frequency induction heating welding in the receiver drier tank, a boss step is formed on the inner surface of one side end of the pipe. The other side of the pipe is closed by brazing a closing medium material to the swaged portion. |
