A system and a method for alarming a call during absence in an MS by using a mobile communication network are provided to enable a guide voice message corresponding to an absent state to be transmitted to the MS of a calling party, so that the MS user of the calling side can more easily recognize the absent state of a receiving-side MS user. A system for alarming a call during absence in a mobile station by using a mobile communication network comprises the followings: MSs(Mobile Stations)(100,101) which transmit a guide voice message, pre-stored during absence, according to an alarm service execution command during absence from a user if an incoming call is received from the other party when an alarm service mode is set during absence, and alarms information about the incoming call during absence to the user when the alarm service mode is released; an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(106); and an absent call alarm server(108) which stores and manages the guide voice message and provides the guide voice message corresponding to the alarm service execution command during absence of a called-side user to the MSC(106) when transmission of the guide voice message is requested.
