A ventilated deck comprising parallel longitudinal beams (1) (T- or I-section or rectangular, with openings in the vertical part) covered with perforated metal strips laid together at right angles to the beams, each strip having one long edge (4) bent downwards at90[deg]and the other bent down and then angled outwards to form a horizontal support (6) for the edge (4) of the next strip, so as to form a continuous surface when the strips are laid together. A ventilated deck for aerating and/or de-aerating materials, with a sub-structure anchored on a mounting base holding perforated metal plates capable of taking traffic, in which (a) the substructure comprises parallel longitudinal beams (1) of definite length, height and wall thickness, with a T-shaped, I-shaped or rectangular profile and with openings (2) in the vertical walls, and (b) the metal plates are perforated covering strips (3) made of sheet metal, with one long edge (4) folded downwards at an angle of about 90 deg and an angled piece on the opposite edge comprising a side (5) folded down at about 90[deg] and then outwards to form a horizontal limb (6), the heights of parts (4) and (5) being such that, when the strips are assembled with the edge (4) of the next strip (3) on the limb (6) of the preceding strip (3), the upper sides of the strips form a continuous surface with the strips (3) laid at right angles to the beams (1).
