<p>A received power priority flooding method in a mobile ad hoc network is provided to schedule retransmission of the message, wherein schedule time for the retransmission is proportional to the signal strength of a message received by a receiving-side node, and cancel the retransmission of the message when the same message is received from a different node in the network prior to the schedule time for the retransmission, thereby reducing traffic on the network by having the minimum latency. A method for transmitting information in an ad hoc wireless network having plural nodes comprises the following steps of: receiving an incoming message at a receiving-side node of the network(31); scheduling retransmission of the message, wherein schedule time for the retransmission is proportional to the signal strength of the message received by the receiving-side node(34); and canceling the retransmission of the message when the same message is received from a different node in the network before the schedule time for the retransmission(36).</p> |
