Pedal housing module for heavy vehicles e.g. lorries and buses, includes individually-manufactured accelerator, brake and clutch pedal assemblies

The mounting plate (1) includes accelerator (11), brake (21) and clutch (25) pedal assemblies, each (1, 11, 21, 25) being individually manufactured and adjusted. Accelerator- and brake-, brake- and clutch- pedals are mounted adjacently, on the mounting plate. They are attached by holders. Each has its own corresponding mounting plate (2, 3, 4) attached to the mounting plate (1). Each has its own position sensor (41, 42). On operating a pedal to an operating point (Bo, Bu) the sensor delivers an associated voltage (U41, U42). The sensors detect upper and lower operating points (Bo, Bu). A braking fluid reservoir and brake booster are fitted opposite the pedals, on the mounting plate. A pedal fixture is provided for the accelerator component. Further details of associated equipment and operation are provided, in accordance with the foregoing principles. Salient features include installation of the module in a vehicle base plate and manufacture of the mounting plate in plastic or metal.
