A headphone with a cord reel rather easily manufacturable and capable of preventing strident clicking noise from occurring when an input cord is extracted from a headphone casing. The headphone comprises the input cord, a wind-up means installed in the casing and energizing the input cord to wind up the input cord into the casing, a ratchet means formed of a ratchet wheel interlocked with the wind-up means and stopping the wind-up of the input cord by the wind-up means and allowing the extraction of the input cord from the casing and an engagement ratchet fitted to one end of a rotating arm and energized to the ratchet wheel side, and a damping material installed between the rotating arm and the casing. When the input cord is extracted from the casing, the movement of the engagement ratchet at one end of the rotating arm is restricted by the damping material. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007 |
