SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NEGOTIATION OF WLAN ENTITY

There is disclosed a technique for providing a method for negotiation between various entities of wireless local area network (WLAN) such as a negotiation between a control node (CN) and a wireless access point (WAP) and a negotiation between WAPS. According to the technique, capabilities of various entities are set and it is decided how to divide the capabilities between the negotiation entities optimally. The aforementioned negotiation is used to divide the capabilities between the entities according to the decision. The aforementioned capabilities are required for WLAN entity and operation, control, and management of the WLAN. The disclosed technique employs means for flexibly adjusting the difference in capabilities of various degrees between the WLAN entities and a dynamic change of the WLAN topology between the WLAN entities. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
