A method for providing service information to a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user not to update information to be changed in case he/she wants the updating by displaying a type of information to be changed in an information change mode according to user's selection. A mobile terminal(100) is ready for communication with a server device(200). The server device(200) informs the mobile terminal(100) about information to be changed and a type of the information. When updating of the information to be changed is selected in the mobile terminal(100), the information to be changed is downloaded from the server device(200) and updated. The server device(200) is a SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language) DM(Device Management) server.
