A method for driving a display panel is provided to prevent an image from being distorted, by applying image data with a normal driving level even to the pixels far from a data driver. A data driver includes n data lines. A gate driver includes m gate lines, which cross the data lines. Plural horizontal pixels are formed on a display panel. Gate driving signals(GLm,GLm-1,GLm-2) are sequentially applied on the gate lines. Image data with a variable signal level is applied on the data lines synchronously with the respective gate driving signals. The signal level of the image data is increased according to signal attenuation due to the data line. The signal level is increased when the image data is delivered to the pixel, which is far from the data driver.
