METHOD OF PRODUCING FE3O4 ANODE USED FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION OF OXIDE NUCLEAR FUEL IN LICL-LI2O MOLTEN SALT SYSTEM AND ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION CELL USING IT

Provided are a method for preparing a rod-shaped Fe3O4 positive electrode used in the electrochemical reduction of oxide nuclear fuel in a LiCl-Li2O molten salt system, and an electrochemical reduction cell, to simplify the molding process and to reduce a cost. The method comprises the steps of cold molding a Fe3O4 powder at a constant pressure to form a rod-shaped Fe3O4 molded product; and sintering the Fe3O4 molded product in vacuum to form a Fe3O4 positive electrode sintered product. Preferably the Fe3O4 molded product is sintered at a temperature of 940-960 deg.C in vacuum and is cooled to a room temperature, and the pressure is increased to an atmospheric pressure. Preferably the rod-shaped Fe3O4 molded product has a ratio of diameter to length of 7:90 to 8:70.
