A head position controlling method, a head position controlling device, and a disk device are provided to estimate an external vibration frequency by an adaptive side from a signal based on a position error, thus an accurate external vibration frequency whose integration is compensated is estimated. A frequency estimation block(24) estimates an external vibration frequency by an adaptive side from a signal based on a position error. A modification table(25) successively modifies integers of a compensator(23) by using the external vibration frequency. Since the integers of the compensator(23) are successively modified by each estimation frequency, following control with high-precision is available for a wide range of external vibration frequencies.
