An image forming apparatus is provided to intercept the power to be supplied to the driving member of an inside apparatus for performing the printing operation. A side door unit(120) is installed at a side of a printer body(110). A developing unit(130) is detachably installed at the printer body. A power interception unit(140) intercepts the power to be supplied to a driving member of a laser scanning unit and the like. The first opening(110a) is formed at a front frame(111) and opened and closed by a front door(115) supported by a hinge member. The developing unit is detachably mounted to the inside of the printer body through the opening. A paper stacking cover(114) for discharging the printed paper is equipped at an upper frame(112).
