An image forming apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to scan a test pattern by an image sensor unit. An image forming unit(150) includes plural toner supply members(165,166,167,168). Plural image carriers(161,162,163,164) receive plural toners from the toner supply members and form toner images on the outer surfaces thereof. Transfer rollers(171,172,173,174) transfer the toner images on a printing medium. When printing the image, a transfer belt(B) transfers the printing medium to a printing area(P) and circulates in the inside of an image forming apparatus body(110). Fusing rollers(140) compress the printing medium with high temperature and pressure so that the separation of the toner from the printing medium is prevented.
