A pharmaceutical composition is proposed, comprising:(a) an effective amount of one or more of acetylcholinesterase inhibitor(s) selected from the group consisting of Tacrine, Donepezil, Rivastigmine and Galantamine and mixtures thereof or pharmaceutically effective salts thereof, preferably doneperzil; and(b) an effective amount of memantine. NMDA-antagonist(s)as an active ingredient for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment or dementia associated with mild and severe Alzheimer's disease.
