An X-ray CT apparatus is provided to display a three-dimensional tomography image with high time resolution synchronized to an external synchronous signal or a bio signal, by including a two-dimensional area X-ray detector having a matrix structure. In an X-ray CT apparatus(100), X-ray data collection units(20,5) collect X-ray projection data item passing through a subject between an X-ray generation apparatus(21) and a two-dimensional X-ray area detector(24). An image reconfiguration unit(3) reconfigures images by using the projection data item collected by the X-ray data collection units. An image display unit(6) displays the reconfigured tomography images. An external signal input unit(3) receives an external input signal. A phase data input unit(2) performs synchronization to the external input signal. The image reconfiguration unit reconfigures the images by extracting the collected X-ray detector data item by being synchronized to a specific phase of the external input signal.
