AUDIO SIGNALLING METHOD AND APPARATUS

A method and an apparatus for processing audio signals are provided to transform decorrelation signals with a difference between inputted audio signals and decorrelation results of the audio signals as reference, thereby effectively processing the audio signals and improving the sound quality in reproducing audio. A decorrelator(10) processes a plurality of sub-band signals into decorrelation signals. A calculator(20) calculates differences between the sub-band signals and the decorrelation signals. The calculator calculates a mean value of the differences. If the calculated mean value is over a preliminarily set threshold value, a weight controller(30) multiplies the decorrelation signals by weight.
