A method for servicing CID(Calling Identification Display or Calling Identity Delivery) by using multimedia contents is provided to check a caller by enabling a multimedia contents execution agent to drive multimedia contents of a caller, received in a receiving terminal and to display the multimedia contents on the receiving terminal, thereby solving privacy disturbance problems that a name and a phone number of a caller are displayed and greatly increasing the usage of mobile communication subscribers which are familiar with a multimedia service. A system for providing multimedia contents comprises the followings: a storage medium which links plural multimedia contents to a recognition code individually corresponding to each multimedia contents and stores the processed multimedia contents; and a server which receives the recognition code which an originating terminal(130) transmits, extracts multimedia contents corresponding to the recognition code, and transmits the extracted multimedia contents to a receiving terminal(135). |
