<p>The invention relates to a method and circuit for diagnosing and optimizing the functioning of data communication systems through cable television networks and it is intended to detect, identify and localize faults and abnormal operating conditions which may appear during the functioning or current service activity, and also during tuning of the network elements in order to optimize their functioning. According to the invention, the circuit comprises a control unit (1) which may be in connection with the frontal computing system of the network (HE) or may operate autonomously, a test signal generator (3), some controlled contacts (k1, k2 and k3) and some directed adders (4, 5 and 8), attached to each bidirectional networks amplifier such that there may be possible the injection of test signals from the subnetwork located downstream the amplifier, downstream of that the separation of low frequency component of the bidirectional amplifier, the injection of test signal for the subnetwork located downstream the amplifier, the interpretation and testing and optimizing strategy of the circuit being established by the frontal computing system or distributively by local control units.</p> |
