The rear view mirror has a mirror (2) integrated with a support (6) mounted on a shell (1). A displacement mechanism displaces a mirror (4) between a position in which the mirror (4) is situated behind the mirror (2) and another position in which the mirror (4) is placed such that reflecting surface of the mirror (4) extends from reflecting surface of the mirror (2).
