A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce voltage stress of a data driver by decreasing the voltage applied on the data driver by a positive bias voltage. A plasma display device includes a PDP(Plasma Display Panel,52), a data driver(56), and a driving voltage generator(66). The PDP displays an image. The data driver supplies a data pulse, which is composed of first and second voltages, on an address electrode of the PDP. The driving voltage generator generates the first and second voltages and supplies the first and second voltages to the data driver. The first voltage is greater than a base voltage and smaller than the second voltage. The first voltage is smaller than a voltage value, which is a discharge start voltage subtracted by a scan voltage and a wall charge voltage. |
