A method for a mobile location tracking service and a system thereof are provided to construct a location tracking service server as an LBS(Location Based Service) platform separated from a mobile communication network and provide the location tracking service server to a web site, thereby reducing costs for LBS service use of a user and improving user's convenience. A mobile location tracking service system comprises the followings: an originating mobile communication terminal(110) which provides location information; a location information processing server(130) which receives location information of the originating mobile communication terminal(110) through the originating mobile communication terminal(110) and a mobile communication network; a location tracking service server(140) which stores the location information of the originating mobile communication terminal(110) transmitted from the location information processing server(130) and provides a location tracking service; and a receiving mobile communication terminal(150) which receives the location information of the originating mobile communication terminal(110) from the location tracking service server(140).
