An LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamp with improved luminance and a back light assembly using the LED lamp are provided to improve the display luminance and prevent light source caused by an intermediate light guide plate by varying a projected light distribution of the LED lamp. An LED lamp(100) includes a light-emitting part(104), a base(102), and a lens(106). The base supports the light-emitting part. The lens includes the light-emitting part located inside thereof, refracts or reflects light emitted from the light-emitting part and is combined with the base. The inclined angle of the inclined surface is in the range from 55 to 85 degree based on the vertical axis. A reflecting material is coated on the inclined surface of the lens unit, and has an inclined surface as an upper surface.
