#CMT# #/CMT# The windscreen has an anti-vibration device comprising an assembly of a movable mass (20) and an elastic connection unit (22) connected to a transparent wall (14) and to the mass. A base (24) supports the anti-vibration device and is rigid to a natural mode of vibrations of the wall, and a rearview mirror covers the anti-vibration device. The assembly has characteristics which are chosen so as to have a resonance frequency equal to the frequency of the natural mode of vibrations. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for a motor vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The characteristics of the movable mass and the elastic connection unit assembly are chosen so as to have the resonance frequency equal to the frequency of the natural mode of vibrations, thus enabling the assembly to absorb a part of the vibration energy of the windscreen, and hence reducing the amplitude of vibration of the transparent wall for producing an acceptable sound for a driver and passengers of the motor vehicle.
