The blocking unit comprises a friction brake (6) which moves together with the blocking element (2) between two end points and reaches these points well before the blocking element reaches its respective stop surfaces, so that subsequ-ently relative motion along a friction surface (3a) takes place between the blocking element and the friction brake.
