METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ALLOCATING SIMPLE IP FOR USE IN PORTABLE INTERNET NETWORK

A method and a system for allocating a simple IP address in a portable Internet network are provided to achieve standardization of a portable Internet service in consideration of a simple IP address allocating method to a PSS, a processing method in case that simple IP address allocation is failed, a simple IP address updating method, and a simple IP address rebinding method, thereby stably providing the portable Internet service and preventing duplicated investment for a portable Internet system. A method for allocating a simple IP(Internet Protocol) address in a portable Internet network comprises the following steps of: receiving a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) information request from a PSS(Personal Subscriber Station)(110)(S202~S206); transmitting a simple IP address and configuration information to the PSS(110)(S208~S212); receiving a simple IP address allocation request of from the PSS(110)(S214~S218); and allocating the simple IP address to the PSS(110)(S220~S224).
