The method involves providing multiple viewports, where each viewport is configured to display a two-dimensional (2D) image. Each two dimensional image is representative of a cross-section of a three dimensional (3D) volume. A control line is moved in a selected viewport, and an angle of the cross-section of the two dimensional images is altered in the viewport other than the selected viewport. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer-readable storage medium including a set of instructions for performing an anatomy`s three dimensional oblique cross-section defining method (2) a method for adjusting an angle of cross-section in a multiple two-dimensional images.
