The invention relates to a chair for patients used in gynaecological and urological examinations. The chair comprises a sitting surface (16) and a back rest. A bar-shaped support (22) for a leg holder (24) is located on each side of the sitting surface (16). Each support (22) has a transverse support (32) at its free end which is not linked to the seat. Each transverse support (22) protrudes in an essentially vertical manner from the bar-shaped support, has a length which equals at least half the width of a leg holder (24) and has a leg holder (24) which is held at its free end by means of a lock-type universal joint (34). |
