<p>A data communication apparatus and data communication method for identifying an IC memory attached to a communication apparatus to have data communication with the communication apparatus to which the IC memory is attached. In a mobile apparatus (100) at the transmitting end, a communication driver (105) accepts, from an application (102), a domain ID uniquely identifying a removably attachable IC memory, and acquires, based on the accepted domain ID, the IP address of the other end of communication from a name server (300) that stores domain IDs and the IP addresses associated therewith. The communication driver (105) then acquires a port ID assigned to the application by the IC memory of the other end of communication, and transmits, based on the IP address, the foregoing domain ID and port ID as well as outbound data. At the other end of communication, an application based on the received port ID is activated to perform an appropriate processing.</p> |
