<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a GUI screen for AV device choices sorted by differences in communication protocol. <P>SOLUTION: AV devices are classified by communication protocols and displayed. When a user selects an AV device where desired contents are recorded in a display screen of a list of connected devices, a screen of a list of contents in the selected AV device is displayed as a menu of a next stage and the user is able to select desired contents. The GUI screen for selecting AV devices which are classified by the communication protocols and arranged is created to display the AV devices. The AV devices are thus displayed to display the GUI screen for selecting the AV devices while the AV devices are classified by the communication protocols.
