BROADCAST RECEIVER, REMOTE CONTROLLER, BROADCAST IMAGE RECEIVER, AND CHANNEL SWITCHING CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby a user can efficiently select a channel (hereinafter called Ch).

SOLUTION: A flowchart for denoting station selection processing flows by a main body of a broadcast receiver and by a remote controller includes: a step S101 of the broadcast receiver for receiving receptible Ch data (hereinafter called data); a step S102 of storing the data; steps S122, 132 of controlling a touch panel display section so that an icon provided with a Ch number capable of identifying the main Ch number specified by the stored data is displayed and receiving an instruction selecting any of the displayed Chs from a user; a step S125 of transmitting a station selection signal of instructing the station selection of the received main Ch to the broadcast receiver when the absence of a sub Ch corresponding to the selected Ch is indicated by stored data (NO in S123); and a step S124 of controlling the touch panel display section to display an icon attached with a Ch number identifiable of the sub Ch when the presence of the sub Ch corresponding to the selected Ch is indicated by the stored data (YES in S123).
