MAMMALIAN HOST CELL OF OVEREXPRESSION TYPE FOR GENERAL USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently and quickly obtaining a gene-amplified mammalian cell for general use and to provide a mammalian cell obtained thereby.

SOLUTION: The mammalian cell has a plural number of sites into which a vector containing an arbitrary foreign gene can be inserted by specific site-specific recombination. More particularly speaking, the mammalian cell is produced by introducing an expression vector containing a first site-specific recombinant sequence and a selection marker into a mammalian cell, carrying out gene amplification gene by using a gene amplification and induction factor corresponding to the selection marker and then introducing a vector containing a second site-specific recombinant sequence and a foreign gene and site-specifically recombining the first site-specific recombinant sequence with the second site-specific recombinant sequence by action of a site-specific recombinant induction factor.
